Happy Fall Decorating

Two weeks late, but I finally decorated our front door.

I also made a banner for the front entrance.  Super easy and it didn't cost me a penny (my kind of project).  I used leftover materials I had from previous projects.

Yummy, yummy, donuts!

It all started with this little machine - Babycakes cake pops.  On sale from Khols, $10.00 off plus 15% off coupon.  It was a great deal under $20.00.

You fill the inside with batter - I used the enclosed vanilla cake recipe.  Fill to the top and voila!

Glazed, sprinkled and cinnamon sugar donut holes.  So delicious!  You can also add lollipop sticks and dip them into chocolate to make cake pops.  I will try that next time.  The mini donuts were delicious and much better for you since they were baked, LOL!

Cake pops

I made vanilla cake pops for my friends "going away" get-together.  They are moving to Washington D.C. and we are all going to miss them.

Blessed Bears

I recently completed two more Blessed Bears for my friend's daughters.  I truly enjoyed the process and prayed over the little bears to watch over her girls.  It was so rewarding to see the youngest girl carrying her bear everywhere.

This is the basket I put together for my friend and her family.  I made the girls each a Blessed Bear and whimsical pillowcase.  I also included some extra items I had crafted during the Christmas season.  We have been wanting to visit them since Christmas and we finally made the two-hour trip to Los Angeles.

More Handmade Scripture Dolls

I finally completed another scripture doll and a new square scripture bear.  I got this pattern from a wonderful book called "Sew Darn Cute" by Jenny Ryan.

My daughter decided she wants to keep this square baby scripture pillow.  I'm so glad she is still my biggest fan.

Busy week crafting and baking

This week I have spent my time crafting and baking in the mornings.  My daughter Cassandra has been going to summer school in the mornings, while my youngest daughter is attending vacation bible school and my oldest daughter and husband are volunteer with VBS at our church.  I still have not been able to complete the projects, but I have most of the sewing done.

Fourth of July cookies

I was trying to make Fourth of July cookies, but the colors I used were not bright enough (this happens when you use regular food coloring instead of cake decorating gel colors).
